not on the agenda.
A report and thanks were given in the Parish Magazine to the police for the improvements to the bus shelters.
The Trumpeter sign is now in place. A contractor has been approached to cut the hedge on the lane from Lewthorn cottages to Trumpeter.
The bench at the cemetery does need a little attention and Mr Gibson and Mr Pepperell will attend to this.
Ilsington Village Hall committee is pleased that their small grant aid application is going forward.
03/106 Urgent business brought forward by the
Chairman
The Notice boards that have recently been purchased have needed a lot of repairs, and the clerk wrote to the company to express the disappointment of the council. A reply has now been received informing us that the company intends to replace all the notice boards free of charge. Mr Mansfield has removed two of the small notice boards because they were in need of so much work. He will treat these and should be useful in another area. It was suggested the Lynch gate at the Church and the top of Green Lane should have notice boards, and once the new ones arrive this will be done.
03/107 To receive reports from District Councillor
Shapley Way – The property department at TDC are preparing a planting scheme for the green area which will be ready late November early December. Mr Christophers has stressed that this is an urgent matter, as the situation there is not getting any better, there is limited progress on finding an alternative site.
Trago Mills – Mr Christophers ensured TDC were aware of the parishes concerns about the application for a temporary entrance, he was assured that it would only be used as an emergency entrance. Although there will be thirty 20metre trees delivered to the site in the near future via this entrance.
Public Speaking – This has now been brought into effect at planning control meetings.
Mrs Smith asked about the proposed Service Station application that Mr Christopher confirmed still has not been submitted.
03/108 PUBLIC FORUM
Mr MacDonald reported that his hedge, which is on the boundary to the green at Shapely Way, is dying due to being constantly abused, he was very keen to see the planting plans from TDC. He mentioned again about purchasing a by-law, which the clerk will investigate.
Mrs Smith asked if there was any progress on using a field owned by Ilsington United Charities and Mr Gibson informed the meeting that as a Charity the trustees had to abide by the advice given by the Charity Commission and didn’t think that this situation would be solved through Charity land.
Mr Oldham asked if any further details had been received about enforcement on Benedict Garage Site, the clerk will make enquiries. He also asked if the area maps had been received (which they have been) and asked if areas for verge and hedge cutting could be marked and sent to TDC so a clear understanding would be made which and when areas should be cut. The clerk and Mr Squire will meet with Mr Oldham arrange this.
Mr Squire reported that at Haytor Vale some sections of the drainage channel are broken and needs attention as soon as possible.
Thanks were extended to Mr Oldham and team for the excellent work done on the bus shelter in Liverton.
Mrs Smith enquired about a fence at Summerhill Road, which is approx., 2 metres tall, the clerk will check with TDC about height restrictions for garden fences.
03/109 To consider the planning applications.

Pitched roof to replace existing flat roof on kitchen. No
Objection
2. 0671/03 Corymbis, Knapmore Hill, Louston
Temporary permission for siting of
mobile home for a period of two years
Objection. The councillors are concerned that temporary
buildings
already on
site have in fact been improved and are intended to remain
there. The site map submitted to DNP is incorrect
and does not show all
the
buildings on that site. Is the
application for the current mobile home already on site or is it for another
one? If the site is agricultural then
is permission needed for a mobile home?
All temporary building should be removed and this should be checked.
