06/269  PUBLIC FORUM

The site at the rear of the Old Pottery seems to be used as a storage yard and the councillors consider this need investigating, the existing shed is still there. Mrs Retallick will write to DNPA to rise out concerns, and also ask for information as to who has responsibility for the kiln.  It was also noted the communal area has become over grown and it was suggested we write to each household and ask them to look this area and keep it looking nice.

 

06/270  To consider the planning applications received from Teignbridge District

            Council and Dartmoor National Park Authority

       1.            Woodland View, 1 Summerhill Road, Liverton

Single storey extension to lounge area.

No objection

2.      Proposed: Single storey dining room extension to east end at Oldertown Cottage, Haytor.

      No objection

3.      Proposed Front porch at 7 Ley Crescent, Liverton

      No objection.

4.      Outline – re-development for residential purposes with public open space and re-arranged vehicular access (approval sought for means of access) at BOVEY TRACEY – Cardew Pottery, Newton Road.

Our councilors consider this is a large development which will increase the vehicle use on the roads that are already heavily used, and our             concerns are for the increase of traffic on local roads. The need to improvement the local roads and Drumbridges roundabout.

 

Grant of Conditional Planning Permission

1        Moor View School, Staplehill Road

Renewal of planning permission for siting of 8 portacabins and stationing of 2 additional portacabins

 

Councillors had a discussion with reference to the fence at Liverton which needed to be removed the councillors were not happy with the park's action on this matter.

 

06/270  To receive reports from Parish Councillors on outside bodies.

Mr Bardell reported that at the TALC meeting they discussed the citizen’s advice bureau and received information about the arts project at Haldon Forest, and parking issues there.

Mr Retallick reported the Community Forum is on the 24th of November at Parke.  The Local development framework and planning guidance will go ahead after consultation and the Park Management document has also been released for consultation.
