To report matters arising from the minutes not on the agenda.
A reply has been received from the Local Service group with regard to the enquiries made at the last meeting and are listed below:-
We now have in stock the fittings to install new fences at the various cattle grids and this work will be undertaken in the near future. It was felt that this should be followed up again as stock could get onto the grids and injure themselves.
Lewthorne Cross to Trumpeter - if you can advise the name / contact details of the owner of the land from which the offending tree is growing we can pursue this with them. Mr Mansfield will get those details
Summerhill Road - the weeds were treated in accordance with DCC Policy which provides for annual spraying only. In an ideal world this would be followed up by mechanical sweeping (which is a District Council function) but their resources do not extend to this.
With regard to purchasing a picnic bench- Trago will not have any in stock until spring.
Mrs Smith suggested we leave this project until the spring. Mr Retallick has been to look at the goal post at Little Meadow which are larger than expected but acceptable.
05/131
Urgent business brought forward by the Chairman.
Request from the PCC at St Michaels on the 13th November the Remembrance service – As the British legion will not at the service they have requested the Parish Council to attend and make an official presents the service will start at 10.20am outside at the lynch gate near the memorial tablets.
05/132

Mr Christophers sent a report saying the goal post is up at Little Meadow and being used, Mr Daryl Clifford-Bourne and Mr Duncan Christophers put them in place and would like to thank them for all their hard working in doing so.
05/133
PUBLIC FORUM
The hedge between Hillside cottage and the junction in Old Liverton has still not been trimmed and cars are finding it difficult to pass. Once the owners have been identified we can pass the information to the local service group.
Parked cars on the brow of the hill on Old Liverton Road are a cause for concern again and the clerk will check with TDC for the response given from the last enquiry. It was suggested that if there is still a concern the Parish Council must consider safety issue, however this does not suggested putting anyone out of business, merely concern for the road users within our parish.

To receive reports from Parish Councilors on outside bodies.
Mr Blackwell attended the AGM of DAPC where a talk was given by Sue Reece who talked about funding available to the rural community of 8 million pounds nationally but once divided each parish would not receive much.
Mr Bardell attended the TALC meeting where they discussed gypsies and travellors. 90% don't get there planning application’s approved against a high percentage of other application and travellors do pay council tax. Refuse collectors have been leaving rubbish while collecting refuse and TDC will ask the firms to clear it up. Next months meeting 24th November about council tax and precept. Mrs Smith asked last month if any councillor could take this on but no one could commit, there are only 6 meetings in the year and they start at 7pm.
