PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING

 

at Ilsington Village Hall, Ilsington on Tuesday 11th of November 2008

                        Mr T Noon

                        Mr B Squire

                        Also present was Mrs C Retallick (Clerk), and four members of the public.

 

Apologies were received from Messrs Blackhurst, Gibson and Mansfield.

 

The Chairman opened the meeting and explained that he would retire from the room while item b was discussed then explained the standing orders relevant at this meeting.

 

1.                  To consider planning applications received from Teignbridge District Council and Dartmoor National Park Authority up to the 11th of November 2008.

 

a)      Ilsington – 15 Laskeys Heath, Liverton – Pruning of four Oaks and removal of two Oaks. IPC support this application

 

c)  Ilsington – 2 Barn Park, Liverton – Extension to form new kitchen/family 

room and porch with bedroom and bathroom in roof space over. IPC support this application

 

The Vice Chairman took the meeting and invited the comments for item b from the public present.

Resident from Barnlee Lodge, Ilsington spoken on behalf of other present on item b. there concerns were:-

·        lack of detail in the proposal

·        lack of public consultation

·        concerns for wildlife and habitation

·        any further development on the field if planning permission was granted

·        the fencing and landscaping isn’t acceptable to the local residents

·        concern that landscaping would transfer large amounts of earth to areas unacceptable to residents.

 

The council meeting resumed and the councillors considered

 

b)      Proposed Change of use from agricultural to school playing field at Ilsington C of E Primary School, Ilsington. No response with reference to the application should be made at this time and request that further consultation should be made with residents.

No objection however to the access of 16 times to the field for grass cutting via the orchard.

 

Mr Retallick returned to the room and chaired the remainder of the meeting.

·        Liverton FC – Extension to kitchen additional toilet and modifications.

·        Penlee, Old Liverton – Conservatory

Refusal of Planning Permission

·        The Barn, Oakland’s – Retention of balcony

 

Notification of appeal lodged

·        Ilsington- The Barn Oakland, Ashburton Rd, Newton Abbot – Appeal against refusal of permission for retention of balcony
