09/94 To
report matters arising from the minutes not on the agenda.
Mr Miners noticed that at the
Ilsington play area was covered badly in weeds, although we intend to refurbish
this area it needs to be maintained in the meantime. Clerk gave update of funding at the present time.
A discussion was held about
ongoing maintenance and it was noted that in the past this has been a councillor’s
role. The Chairman suggested that a
working party including councillors and representatives from the football,
bowls and tennis club should meet and remove the weeds on Saturday 1st
August at 10am. Mrs Smith offered to
provide the refreshments.
Mr Bardell noted that in the
past we have requested the tree to be trimmed at Drumbridges to give better
visibility, however this has not happened and was doubtful if it ever would.
09/95 PUBLIC
FORUM
Parishioners have reported
receiving chipped windscreens from debris left on the highway at the Gravel
store near Drumbridges, it was suggested that there should be warning signs –
clerk will write to highways.
Mr D Smith has written to
report water and mud on the road closed to Bagtor and the buddle holes have not
being cleared.
09/96 Business
brought forward by the Chairman.
Highways, buddle holes and
drainage. Chairman talked to lenghtman
about these. He is working in the area
at the present time but doesn’t know where the buddle holes are and have not
been able to clear them. The Chairman has spoken to the highways supervisor and
reminded him of the parish maps which we mark areas for attention, Highways are
unaware of the whereabouts of the map now.
The small lake of rain water and mud was on the road close to Bagtor
caused by the buddle holes being blocked – as reported in Mr Smiths letter.
The new lenghtsman do not
know where the buddle holes are! There
are lots of areas now in the parish which have similar problems the issue is
getting bigger.
It was agreed to devise a new
map copy it and give a copies to the highways department and Mr Barker.

Mr Westaway noted that the
locks on the tennis court gate could cause a problem for disabled access to the
bowling club. The combination should be
available for bowling club members. Mr
Retallick agreed to speak to tennis club however he also noted that this was not
