around the Blackpool school with a
recommendation of a 20mph limit which can be
turned on and off - putting in the limit for
certain times linking in with school hours. Mr
Barker is pressing to have one speed limit in a
built up area i.e. for housing estates etc...
The temporary speed limit sign by Liverton PO
was only there for 2 weeks but may
return at a later date.
Mr Christophers reported that Newton Abbot Leisure
centre will be opening shortly TDC
has spent 3 million on it and made great
improvements. Little Meadow will
discuss later
in agenda but the goal post will be delivered
any day. Mr Jones from Blackpool School is
keen for the community hall at the school to be
use school for community activity and is
concerned about taking any booking from the
village halls but booking can be made by
contacting the school office.
Mr Retallick asked why two dustbin lorries are sent each week, Mr Barker confirmed that
they are specialist lorries for the recycling. Two years ago the green waste was stopped
and the public complained so TDC reinstated it and this is why the second lorry is
needed. The recycling is done at kerb side because there are no facilities at the depot.
Mr Retallick also reported that on the road at Donkey trott to Narracombe there is no
tarmac on the road. Mr Barker said we must mark problems like this on the highway
parish maps. Mr Retallick asked about the bushes at Rams Horn which have not been
trimmed for several years and the land is owned by DCC.

PUBLIC FORUM
Mr Bardell reported that motor bikes are using the footpath at A38 to Trago from Benedicts Bridge – Mr Bardell advised the parishioner to report to the Police and parishioner wanted the Parish Council to know also. It was suggested a letter to Trago from us to ask for the gate to be repaired.
Peter Carrett has reported the millennium seat has been vandalized again and has spent £60.00 to repair it. There followed a discussion about ownership of the seat and the clerk will check the files. On Old town hill there are many overhanging trees which need attention.
The rails at the side of the cattle grid by Moorland hotel and Green lane are broken, allowing the stock to get past the gates and causing damage and expense claims.

Mr Christophers asked TDC for guidance for where to put them Mr Retallick suggested the post is put at the top of the field. They are junior goal post need to leave enough space so the grass can be cut. Mr Christpohers will get a councillor to go with him.
