A picturesque mill in a woodland setting on the road a quarter of a mile west of Birchanger Cross. The leat is taken off the River Lemon and runs under the road. The overshot wheel was manufactured by Henry Beare's iron foundry at Liverton.
On the other side of the river stands Lemon Cottage, until recently home of Lord and Lady Tebbit.
